Main mover and founder, Hector Cloma, is a veteran exponent of business outsourcing services in the Philippines. In the early 1990s, when mobile phones were still only a vague dream, as an assistant to the GM of the then-biggest radio paging provider in the Philippines, Easycall Communications Philippines, Inc., he helped design and create a paging-based order-taking service for fast-food companies.
In the first decade of this millennium, as COO of pioneering voice-to-text transcription company TRx Global, he began exploring non-traditional pathways to hiring and engaging the most productive employees, enabling them to work from home under clearly stipulated flex-time conditions. In 2010, he broke away from the center-based delivery model and organized the Transcription Outsourcers of the Philippines (TOPs), a network of independent transcription service contractors, and segued into offering speech-to-text transcription as part of vBOSS Global’s menu of services.
Fast forward to 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic, the work-from-home employment model metamorphosed into a more robust work-from-anywhere paradigm, giving employees and collaborators the incentive of having control over worktime availability but at the same time ensuring and safeguarding client business continuity and sustainability. Working with like-minded friends across the globe, vBOSS Global sees the mobile workplace as the most pervasive business service delivery model for the years to come and is moving steadily in that direction.
